DESCRIPTION
This software is intended to fix an issue with certain Apple Macintosh G4
computers that causes some models of Mitsubishi brand display monitors to
remain off after a restart or powering up after shutdown.
It is intended for use only on G4s with Mac OS 9.0.4 and Mac OS ROMs
versions 4.9.1, 5.2.1 and 5.5.1. Use on other types of Macintosh computers,
other OS versions or other Mac OS ROM versions should be unnecessary and is
currently untested and unsupported by NEC-Mitsubishi.
The following Mitsubishi brand monitors are supported by this software:
Diamond Pro 2045
Diamond Plus 120
Diamond Plus 200
Diamond Plus 220
Diamond Plus 730
Diamond Pro 720
Diamond Plus 710s
Diamond Pro 920
Diamond Plus 91
Diamond Plus 92
Other monitor models are not affected by this issue.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Drop the " Monitor Power Patch" Extension file onto your "System"
folder.
2. When prompted "Put into the Extensions folder?", click OK.
3. Restart your Macintosh computer.
UPDATES
This software has been tested on currently available Apple Macintosh G4
computers and OS 9.0.4. If you upgrade to a newer OS or Mac OS ROM
version, be sure to check for any compatibility issues or updates available
in the "Support" section of the NEC-Mitsubishi web site:
http://www.necmitsubishi.com
RESTRICTIONS
You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise reduce
the software to a human-perceivable form. You may not modify, rent, resell
for profit, distribute or create derivative works based upon the software
or any part thereof.
OWNERSHIP
The foregoing license gives you limited rights to use the software. You do
not become the owner of, and NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display Inc.
retains title to, the software, and all copies thereof. All rights not
specifically granted in this Agreement, including Federal and International
Copyrights, are reserved by NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display Inc.

This software, its documentation and related materials are copyrighted 2000
by NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display Inc.
DISCLAIMER
The software and related documentation are provided "AS IS" and without
warranty of any kind and NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display Inc. expressly
disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including, but not
limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a
particular purpose. Under no circumstances shall NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics
Display Inc. be liable for any incidental, special or consequential damages
that result from the use or inability to use the software or related
documentation, even if NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display Inc. has been
advised of the possibility of such damages.
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. If
for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of
this Agreement, or portion thereof, to be unenforceable, that provision of
the Agreement shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to
effect the intent of the parties, and the remainder of this Agreement shall
continue in full force and effect.
The software and documentation are provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS. Use,
duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject to restrictions as
set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of The Rights in Technical Data and
Computer Software clause at 252.227-7013. Manufacturer is NEC-Mitsubishi
